FAQ
Who are these classes for?
These classes are for beginners, hobbyists with some experience, and also for more advanced students or art graduates who feel they want to strengthen their core drawing and painting skills.
They are suitable for anyone who wants to build solid foundations and develop real understanding of art practice.
The aim is to develop real understanding and confidence in drawing and painting.
Is this suitable for absolute beginners?
Yes — it is suitable for complete beginners with zero experience.
There will be a learning curve at the beginning, and some parts may feel challenging at first. That is completely normal — challenges are part of learning and where real progress happens. You’ll be guided step by step throughout the process.
Is this a casual or serious class?
This is a structured class focused on real artistic development, but taught in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
Can I book just one class?
Classes are part of a 6-week course and are booked as a full term. This helps keep continuity, as each week builds on the previous one, so individual drop-in classes are not offered.
What if I miss a class?
Missed classes are not refundable, but I’ll do my best to help you catch up in the following session.
Can you run classes on different days or times?
Right now I run evening classes, but I’m always thinking about adding more options — like weekends or even a mum & toddler group.
It really depends on interest, so if there’s something you’d love, tell me.
If I see enough demand, I’ll create it
If you’re looking for a different time or type of class, you can leave a note in the form here
Do you offer classes for children or teenagers?
At the moment, I run classes for adults only. I’m definitely considering children’s and teenage groups in the future — this will depend on demand.
If you’re interested, let me know. If enough people ask, I’ll make it happen.
Do you run classes in Loughrea or other towns?
My main classes are based in Athenry.
I may occasionally run workshops in other towns, such as Loughrea or nearby areas, especially at weekends. This depends on interest and demand — if there’s enough request, I’m happy to organise it.
Can I continue after 6 weeks?
Yes — each 6-week block is a new term, and you’re very welcome to continue developing your skills further.
