I'm Tanya McGarry, a professional artist, designer, and  mum living in Athenry.

My love for art began in Siberia when I was just 12 years old and first stepped into art school. Since then, I’ve spent over 20 years developing my skills — studying Art and Graphic Design at Tomsk State University,  and later graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Industrial Design from Galway.

My own artwork is known for its bright, joyful colours and energetic feel. I love using bold pigments to create pieces that bring happiness and life to any space.

But what I’m most passionate about is sharing art with others. After years of working as an artist and designer, I decided to bring high-quality, supportive art classes right here to Athenry. I truly believe everyone can learn to draw and paint — no matter their starting point.

In my classes, I focus on teaching strong artistic foundations while creating a calm, friendly atmosphere where you feel safe to experiment, make mistakes, and grow your confidence. Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to art after many years, I’m here to guide you  every step of the way.
